Hugo Alfvén Prize Laureates
Since 1974 the Hugo Alfvén Foundation
has honoured composers, conductors, choral directors and
musicologists
who have been active in fields which Hugo Alfvén favoured. The
prize and the Hugo
Alfvén Gold Medal are handed over by the President
of the Hugo Alfvén Foundation to the person
elected. The ceremony
takes place in the yard of the Alfvén museum at Tibble, Dalecarlia
as part of
the music festival Musik vid Siljan in July. Laureates
