Welcome to the Hugo Alfvén Society

Hugo Alfvén, the composer of Midsommarvaka (the Midsummer Vigil), the ballet Bergakungen (the Mountain King), 5 symphonies, some 60 art songs, innumerable choral songs and choral settings was one of Sweden's most all-round and fascinating personalities during the first half of the 20th century.
The aim of the Hugo Alfvén Society is to promote the knowledge of his music and his other activities.
